• لانه ما بدي شاي.: Because I do not want tea.
• انا ما بشوف الشباك من هون.: I do not see the window from here.
• اذا ما انت فاضي هلا، استنى شوي.: If you are not free now, wait a little.
• هلا ما في حدا قدام البيت، بس قبل كان في سيارة.: Now there is no one in front of the house, but before there was a car.
• ابي ما اكل فطور اليوم لانه ما كان عنده وقت.: My father did not eat breakfast today because he did not have time.
• لما عندي امتحان، ما بنام متاخر.: When I have an exam, I do not sleep late.
• مبارح ما كان في شمس، واليوم كمان ما في شمس.: Yesterday there was no sun, and today there is no sun either.
• انا هلا ما عندي وقت، لانه لازم ادرس للامتحان.: I do not have time now, because I have to study for the exam.

• اذا ما معك قلم، في قلم عالطاولة جنب الدفتر.: If you do not have a pen with you, there is a pen on the table next to the notebook.
