Usages of λέω

• Αφού δεις την ταινία, θέλω να μου πεις τη γνώμη σου.: After you see the movie, I want you to tell me your opinion.
• Δεν λέω τίποτα τώρα.: I am not saying anything now.
• Την Πέμπτη ο καθηγητής μας λέει τους βαθμούς από την εξέταση.: On Thursday the professor tells us the grades from the exam.
• Οι γονείς μου μού το έχουν πει αυτό δεκαπέντε φορές.: My parents have told me this fifteen times.
• Σε άλλες περιπτώσεις το πρόβλημα είναι μικρό, αλλά δεν θέλω ποτέ να δω φίλο μου στη φυλακή, γι’ αυτό του λέω να προσέχει τους κανόνες.: In other cases the problem is small, but I never want to see a friend of mine in prison, so I tell him to pay attention to the rules.
• Ο καθηγητής, ο οποίος είναι πολύ συναισθηματικός, μας λέει συχνά προσωπικές ιστορίες.: The professor (male), who is very emotional, often tells us personal stories.
• Στην αρχή της χρονιάς η δασκάλα μάς είπε τους βασικούς σκοπούς του μαθήματος.: At the beginning of the year the teacher told us the main aims of the course.
• Η οδοντίατρος μου λέει να βουρτσίζω τα δόντια μου τρεις φορές την ημέρα.: The dentist (female) tells me to brush my teeth three times a day.
• Η δασκάλα μας λέει ότι η προφορά μας έχει βελτιωθεί, αλλά η βαθμολογία στο τεστ δεν είναι ακόμα τέλεια.: Our teacher tells us that our pronunciation has improved, but the grading on the test is not perfect yet.
• Όταν ένα παιδί πλησιάζει την τσουλήθρα τρέχοντας, ο φύλακας του λέει να προσέχει.: When a child approaches the slide running, the guard tells them to be careful.
• Η μαμά μου μού είπε να πάρω γάλα, αυγά και βούτυρο.: My mom told me to buy milk, eggs, and butter.
• Μου είπε επίσης να μην ξεχάσω χαρτί υγείας και χαρτομάντιλα.: She also told me not to forget toilet paper and tissues.
• Η υπάλληλος μού είπε να πάω στο γραφείο εξυπηρέτησης για ανταλλαγή ή επιστροφή.: The employee told me to go to the customer service desk for an exchange or a return.
• Πριν αρχίσω, η αδερφή μου μού είπε να ζεστάνω το τηγάνι καλά.: Before I started, my sister told me to heat the pan well.
• Της είπα να μου δώσει λίγο γάλα, γιατί ο καφές μου είναι πολύ δυνατός.: I told her to give me a little milk, because my coffee is very strong.
• Ο υπάλληλος μού είπε να περιμένω στην ουρά και να έχω μαζί μου την ταυτότητα.: The clerk told me to wait in line and to have my ID card with me.
• Σας είπαν να φέρετε και διαβατήριο, ή αρκεί η ταυτότητα;: Did they tell you (polite/plural) to bring a passport too, or is the ID card enough?
• Αν αύριο μου πουν να δουλέψω ξαφνικά, τουλάχιστον σήμερα τα κανονίσαμε όλα.: If tomorrow they tell me to work suddenly, at least today we arranged everything.
• Ο υπάλληλος στην τράπεζα μου δίνει έναν φάκελο και μου λέει να τον κρατήσω ασφαλή.: The clerk at the bank gives me an envelope and tells me to keep it safe.
• Ο κτηνίατρος μας είπε να αλλάξουμε τροφή και να περιμένουμε δύο μέρες.: The vet told us to change her food and wait two days.
• Ο ιδιοκτήτης μού είπε ότι πριν υπογράψω πρέπει να διαβάσω ήρεμα το συμβόλαιο.: The owner told me that before I sign I have to read the contract calmly.
• Η ενοικιάστρια στο διπλανό διαμέρισμα είναι φιλική και μου είπε ότι οι περισσότεροι ενοικιαστές εδώ είναι ήσυχοι.: The tenant in the apartment next door is friendly and told me that most tenants here are quiet.
• Κύριε διαχειριστή, μπορείτε να μας πείτε πότε ανάβει η θέρμανση στην πολυκατοικία;: Mr. manager, can you tell us when the heating is turned on in the apartment building?
• Ο κύριος μου είπε να περιμένω δύο λεπτά.: The gentleman told me to wait two minutes.
• Ο διαχειριστής μας είπε ότι η θέρμανση δεν δουλεύει σήμερα.: The building manager told us that the heating is not working today.
• Ο μεσίτης μας είπε ότι το διαμέρισμα είναι ήσυχο και φωτεινό.: The real estate agent told us that the apartment is quiet and bright.
