Usages of η κίνηση

• Το πρωί δεν βιάζομαι, γιατί συνήθως δεν έχει πολύ κίνηση στον δρόμο, μόνο περίπου δέκα αυτοκίνητα.: In the morning I am not in a hurry, because usually there is not much traffic on the road, only about ten cars.
• Το απόγευμα βιάζομαι πάντα, επειδή στην πόλη έχει πολύ κίνηση.: In the afternoon I am always in a hurry, because in the city there is a lot of traffic.
• Στο χωριό έχει λίγη κίνηση το βράδυ· στην πρωτεύουσα, αντίθετα, οι δρόμοι έχουν πολλά αυτοκίνητα.: In the village there is little traffic in the evening; in the capital, on the contrary, the roads have many cars.
• Περνάω τον δρόμο προσεκτικά όταν έχει πολύ κίνηση.: I cross the road carefully when there is a lot of traffic.
• Προχωράω προσεκτικά στον δρόμο όταν έχει πολύ κίνηση.: I walk carefully on the road when there is a lot of traffic.
• Ο φίλος μου λέει ότι είναι συνηθισμένος στην κίνηση της πόλης, αλλά εγώ όχι ακόμα.: My friend (male) says that he is used to the traffic of the city, but I am not yet.
• Όταν περπατάω σε ήσυχο χωριό χωρίς κίνηση, νιώθω σαν να είμαι σε άλλο κόσμο, γιατί δεν είμαι συνηθισμένος σε τόση ησυχία.: When I walk in a quiet village without traffic, I feel as if I am in another world, because I am not used to so much quiet.
• Υπάρχει πάντα πιθανότητα να έχει κίνηση όταν πηγαίνω στο κέντρο.: There is always a chance that there will be traffic when I go to the center.
• Όταν έχει πολλή κίνηση, το τραμ κινείται πιο αργά από ό,τι η γραμμή του μετρό.: When there is a lot of traffic, the tram moves more slowly than the metro line.
• Την επόμενη αργία θα βγούμε βόλτα, αρκεί να μην έχει πολλή κίνηση.: On the next public holiday we’ll go for a walk, as long as there isn’t a lot of traffic.
• Δεν προλαβαίνω να φτάσω στη διάλεξη, γιατί έχει πολλή κίνηση.: I can’t make it to the lecture in time, because there is a lot of traffic.
• Στη λεωφόρο έχει πάντα κίνηση το απόγευμα, γι’ αυτό προτιμώ να παίρνω το μετρό.: On the avenue there is always traffic in the afternoon, so I prefer to take the metro.
• Εφόσον δεν έχει πολλή κίνηση, θα προλάβουμε το τρένο.: As long as there isn’t much traffic, we’ll catch the train.
• Αν δεν έχει κίνηση, περνάω από την τράπεζα πριν πάω στο σούπερ μάρκετ.: If there isn’t traffic, I stop by the bank before I go to the supermarket.
