Why is the verb form Dá here instead of Dás or Dê?
Dá is the informal command (imperative) for tu (you). To make an affirmative tu command, you take the present tense tu form (dás) and drop the final "s". If you were speaking formally to someone using você, the command would be Dê (Dê-me um abraço).
