The verb hacer (to do / to make) has a highly irregular preterite past tense. Instead of keeping its normal stem, it changes to an 'i' stem (hic-) for most of its forms. To say "you all did," we use that new stem and add the plural ending to get hicieron.

Why does the subject ustedes come after the verb hicieron?
