In Turkish, **için** (for) indicates purpose or the intended recipient of something. As a postposition, it comes directly *after* the noun it relates to.

### Beneficiaries and Pronouns

When using **için** with most personal pronouns or the question word **kim** (who), the pronoun takes the genitive (possessive) ending.

For example, **kim** becomes **kimin**, making **kimin için** "for whom." Similarly, **o** (he/she/it) becomes **onun**, making **onun için** "for him/her/it."
