Why aren't enero and diciembre capitalized?
In Spanish, the months of the year (like enero and diciembre) are never capitalized unless they are the very first word in a sentence.
Do we always use en to say 'in' a month?
Yes! Just like in English, Spanish uses the preposition en to talk about something happening inside a specific month. So 'in January' translates directly to en enero.
Is the squiggly line over the 'n' in año important?
It is extremely important! The ñ is a completely different letter from the regular n, making an 'ny' sound like in the English word 'canyon'.
