Usages of βρέχει

• Στο πάρκο βρέχει συχνά, όμως σήμερα δεν βρέχει.: It often rains in the park, however today it is not raining.
• Πάρε ομπρέλα αν βρέχει.: Take an umbrella if it’s raining.
• Μένω στο σπίτι όταν βρέχει.: I stay at home when it rains.
• Αλλάζουμε το σχέδιο αν βρέχει.: We change the plan if it rains.
• Την άνοιξη βρέχει συχνά, αλλά το φθινόπωρο κάνει κρύο, παρόλο που δεν έχει χιόνι.: In spring it often rains, but in autumn it is cold, even though there is no snow.
• Περπατάω γρήγορα στο πάρκο όταν δεν βρέχει.: I walk quickly in the park when it is not raining.
• Αν βρέχει πολύ, ακυρώνω τη βόλτα στο πάρκο.: If it is raining a lot, I cancel the walk in the park.
• Η βόλτα σήμερα ακυρώνεται γιατί βρέχει.: The walk is cancelled today because it is raining.
• Μερικές φορές παίρνω ταξί από το λιμάνι μέχρι την πλατεία όταν βρέχει πολύ.: Sometimes I take a taxi from the port to the square when it rains a lot.
• Τη στιγμή που βγαίνω από το σπίτι, αρχίζει να βρέχει.: The moment I go out of the house, it starts to rain.
• Είμαι κλεισμένος στο σπίτι όλη μέρα, γιατί έξω βρέχει.: I am shut in at home all day, because it is raining outside.
• Εγώ μένω κλεισμένος στο σπίτι και διαβάζω ελληνικά, ενώ η φίλη μου πηγαίνει στην αγορά· ξαφνικά όμως αρχίζει να βρέχει και όλα σταματούν, ενώ κανονικά θα κάναμε μεγάλη βόλτα.: I stay shut in at home and study Greek, while my friend goes to the market; suddenly however it starts to rain and everything stops, whereas normally we would take a long walk.
• Όσο κι αν βρέχει, κάνω μικρή βόλτα στο πάρκο.: No matter how much it rains, I take a short walk in the park.
• Πηγαίνω κάθε απόγευμα στον πεζόδρομο, εκτός αν βρέχει ή έχει πολλή ζέστη.: I go to the pedestrian street every afternoon, unless it’s raining or it is very hot.
• Μερικοί ηλικιωμένοι έρχονται στον πεζόδρομο μόνο για να βλέπουν κόσμο, εκτός αν βρέχει δυνατά.: Some elderly people come to the pedestrian street just to watch people, unless it is raining heavily.
• Έρχομαι σπίτι τρέχοντας γιατί βρέχει.: I am coming home running because it is raining.
• Όταν βρέχει, απλώνω τις πετσέτες στην απλώστρα μέσα στο σαλόνι.: When it rains, I hang the towels on the drying rack inside the living room.
• Το πλύσιμο των ρούχων είναι πιο εύκολο όταν δεν βρέχει.: Washing the clothes is easier when it isn’t raining.
