Questions & Answers about No sé nadar, pero conozco un lugar divertido.
Why do we use two different verbs for "know" in this sentence?
The English translation says "know how to", but I don't see words for "how to" in the Spanish sentence. Why?
Why are the "I" forms sé and conozco? Shouldn't they follow the regular rules?
Both saber and conocer have irregular yo (I) forms in the present tense. Saber becomes sé (don't forget the accent mark, otherwise se means something else entirely!), and conocer becomes conozco. Fortunately, the other forms for these verbs follow the regular rules you already know, like sabes or conocemos.
Why is it un lugar divertido instead of un divertido lugar?
