### Masculine Inanimate and Neuter Direct Objects

In the previous lesson, you learned that feminine nouns and adjectives change their endings when they become the direct object of a sentence (the Accusative case). 

Good news: **masculine inanimate** nouns (objects that are not alive, like a phone or juice) and **neuter** nouns (like milk or an apple) are much easier. **They do not change their form at all.** When used as direct objects, they look exactly the same as their basic dictionary forms.

### Masculine Inanimate Nouns

For a masculine non-living object like *chleb* (bread) or *sok* (juice), both the noun and any adjectives describing it remain completely unchanged.

### Neuter Nouns

Neuter nouns—which typically end in **-o**, **-e**, or **-ę**—also stay exactly the same. This includes everyday food items like *mleko* (milk), *jabłko* (apple), and *mięso* (meat).

### Making and Cooking Meals

Verbs for preparing food, like **gotować** (to cook) and **robić** (to make, to do), naturally take direct objects. Because *obiad* (dinner) is masculine inanimate and *śniadanie* (breakfast) is neuter, their endings do not change when you cook or make them.
