Why do we need La before tua?
In Italian, possessive adjectives usually require a definite article (like il or la) in front of them. You literally say 'the your family' (la tua famiglia). There is a special rule where you drop the article for singular family members (like mio padre for 'my father'), but the word famiglia itself does not count as a specific family member, so it keeps the article!
Why is it La tua and not Il tuo?
