Usages of yào
我 现在 要 上班 了， 你 下午 再 来。wǒ xiànzài yào shàngbān le, nǐ xiàwǔ zài lái.
I need to go to work now; come again in the afternoon.
医生 说 他 的 身体 不 太 好， 要 在 医院 休息。yīshēng shuō tā de shēntǐ bú tài hǎo, yào zài yīyuàn xiūxi.
The doctor said his health isn’t very good and that he needs to rest in the hospital.
我 不但 想 去 超市， 而且 要 马上 买 水。Wǒ bùdàn xiǎng qù chāoshì, érqiě yào mǎshàng mǎi shuǐ.
I not only want to go to the supermarket, but also need to buy water right away.
他 说 开会 以后 马上 去 复习， 我 也 要 复习。Tā shuō kāihuì yǐhòu mǎshàng qù fùxí, wǒ yě yào fùxí.
