Questions & Answers about او قبل از اینکه سند را ببیند، به اینکه ما هویت مشترک داریم پی می‌برد.

Why is there a به in front of the second اینکه?
The main verb of the sentence is پی بردن (to realize), which always requires the preposition به to introduce what is being realized. Because the object is an entire clause rather than a simple noun, we use اینکه (the fact that) to connect them, resulting in به اینکه.
There are two instances of اینکه here. Are they doing the exact same job?
Not exactly. The first one is part of the fixed time conjunction قبل از اینکه (before). The second one is a nominalizer that turns the entire following clause (we have a shared identity) into a noun phrase (the fact that...) so it can act as the object of the preposition به.
Why is the verb ببیند in the subjunctive form, while داریم is not?
The phrase قبل از اینکه (before) always triggers the subjunctive mood because the action hasn't happened yet at that moment in the story. However, the second clause describes a confirmed reality (the fact that we have a shared identity), so داریم stays in the regular present indicative.
Since she realizes a specific fact, why don't we use the object marker را after the second اینکه clause?
Even though English treats the realized fact as a direct object, the Farsi verb پی بردن does not take a direct object with را. It always connects to its object using the preposition به.
How does the verb پی می‌برد mean realizes?
The infinitive is پی بردن, a compound verb that literally translates to taking a track or following a footstep, but its everyday idiomatic meaning is to realize or to find out. Here, it is conjugated in the present tense for the third person singular.
