Questions & Answers about Jullie krijgen de werkwijze van de nieuwe vestiging te zien.
Why are krijgen and te zien separated by the rest of the sentence?
This is standard Dutch sentence structure. The conjugated verb krijgen takes the second position in the main clause, while the rest of the verbal group, te zien, moves to the very end. The long direct object (de werkwijze van de nieuwe vestiging) sits between them in the middle of the sentence.
What is the exact meaning of krijgen te zien in this context?
It translates directly to 'get to see', but in Dutch, it strongly implies that someone else is showing it to you. It functions a bit like a passive voice, meaning 'You will be shown the working method.' This is a common pattern for receiving information or experiences, just like krijgen te horen (to be told/to get to hear).
The English translation says 'will get to see', but the future tense verb zullen is not in the Dutch sentence. Why is that?
In Dutch, the simple present tense is frequently used to express the future. You could technically say Jullie zullen ... te zien krijgen, but just using the present tense krijgen is much more natural and common for a scheduled or expected event.
