Why are hebben and geprobeerd at the very end of the sentence?
This is the future perfect tense. In Dutch, the conjugated auxiliary verb zal (will) goes at the start of the question. All other verbs in the clause, here the infinitive hebben and the past participle geprobeerd, get pushed to the end.
Can I swap the order at the end and say geprobeerd hebben?
Yes, both hebben geprobeerd and geprobeerd hebben are perfectly correct. When a past participle and an infinitive sit together at the end of a sentence, their order is flexible.
Medicijn is a het-word. Why does the adjective nieuwe get an -e ending?
