Questions & Answers about Biz bile bu videoyla yeni bir rekor kırıyoruz.
Why does bile come after Biz instead of before it?
In Turkish, the emphatic particle bile (meaning "even") always comes immediately after the word or phrase it emphasizes. So "even we" translates to Biz bile.
How does videoyla mean "with this video"?
It uses the suffix form of ile (meaning "with"). Because video ends in a vowel, we add the buffer letter y, followed by la (matching the vowel harmony of the back vowels in video), making videoyla.
Why is the word order yeni bir rekor instead of bir yeni rekor?
Do you literally "break" a record in Turkish just like in English?
Yes! Turkish uses the exact same imagery. You use the verb kırmak (to break) with rekor (record) to form the phrase rekor kırmak.
