Why is the word te placed before vas?
Te is a pronoun that goes with the verb quedar to mean "to stay". When you use the ir a + infinitive combo, you have two choices for where to put pronouns: right before the conjugated verb (te vas a quedar) or attached to the very end of the infinitive verb (vas a quedarte). Both are perfectly correct and mean the exact same thing!
Why do we need the pronoun te here at all?
By itself, quedar usually means "to be left" or "to fit". But when you use it with a reflexive pronoun like te (making it quedarse), the meaning changes to "to stay" in a location. You need the te to show that you are staying somewhere tomorrow.
