### Factual Consequences with the Indicative

To describe an action or situation so intense that it leads to a specific, real-world consequence, use **de tal modo que** or **de tal forma que** (both meaning "in such a way that" or "so much so that"). 

When the consequence is a confirmed fact or a realized event—such as the unavoidable results of a chaotic commute—these phrases are followed by the **indicative** mood.

### Intended Consequences with the Subjunctive

If the consequence is not a guaranteed fact but rather a *goal*, *intention*, or a hypothetical scenario you are trying to achieve or avoid, you must use the **subjunctive** mood. 

You will see this structure most often when giving advice, instructions, or commands (the imperative), telling someone to act *in such a way that* a certain outcome happens.
