Why is her name spelled Ewo instead of Ewa?
Ewo is the Vocative case (Wołacz) of the name Ewa. We use this case when addressing or calling out to someone directly. For most feminine names and nouns ending in -a, the ending changes to -o in the Vocative.
Why is the preposition here ze instead of just z?
The preposition z changes to ze to make pronunciation easier. We add the e because the following word, mną, starts with a difficult double-consonant cluster (mn-). Pronouncing z mną would be quite a tongue twister!
