How do we get the word nella?
Nella is an articulated preposition, meaning it combines a preposition with a definite article (a word for "the"). Here, the preposition in joins with la (because tasca is feminine singular). In + la merges to become nella (in the).
The English translation says "in the pocket", but wouldn't we normally say "in your pocket"?
In English, yes! However, in Italian, when talking about clothing items or body parts, you typically just use the definite article (like la for "the") instead of a possessive word. Because the sentence uses hai (you have), it's already obvious whose pocket it is.
Why is there an il between tutto and mondo?
When you use tutto to mean "the whole" or "all of the" before a noun, it must be followed by a definite article. So instead of just saying tutto mondo, you have to say tutto il mondo (literally "all the world").
Why isn't the word for "you" in this sentence?
