Questions & Answers about Me siento más calmado cuando hablo despacio en clase.
What does me siento mean in this sentence, and why is it used reflexively?
Me siento comes from the reflexive verb sentirse, which means “to feel.” In this context, it translates to “I feel,” indicating a personal emotional state. The reflexive form is commonly used in Spanish when talking about feelings or sensations.
How is the comparative más calmado formed, and what does it imply?
The phrase más calmado is formed by placing más (“more”) before the adjective calmado (“calm”), which creates a comparative—essentially, “calmer” or “more calm.” This structure indicates that the speaker experiences an increase in calmness when a specific condition is met.

Despacio means “slowly” and describes the manner in which the speaker talks. It is a very common, everyday word in Spanish, particularly in spoken language.
