Usages of ĝi

• Mi interesiĝas pri via libro, ĉar ĝi enhavas novajn vortojn.: I am interested in your book, because it contains new words.
• La parko proksime de la urbo estas malgranda, sed ĝi estas tre bela.: The park near the city is small, but it is very beautiful.
• Tiu kanto ekzistis jam de multaj jaroj, sed nun oni reverkis ĝin.: That song has existed for many years, but now it has been rewritten.
• La pordo de nia hejmo estas malnova, sed ĝi ankoraŭ fermiĝas bone.: The door of our home is old, but it still closes well.
• Sur la breto kuŝas ankaŭ alia sako, kaj mia ŝlosilo estas apud ĝi.: Another bag is also lying on the shelf, and my key is next to it.
• Antaŭ ol mi decidas kion kuiri, mi malfermas la fridujon kaj rigardas kio restas en ĝi.: Before I decide what to cook, I open the refrigerator and look at what remains in it.
• Mi ĉiam havas la kvitancon en mia sako, se la vendejo demandas pri ĝi poste.: I always have the receipt in my bag if the shop asks about it later.
• En nia klaso ne ĉiu demando estas facila, sed kiam la instruistino bone klarigas la temon, ĝi fariĝas pli simpla.: In our class not every question is easy, but when the teacher explains the topic well, it becomes simpler.
• Se la raporto estos preta post unu horo, nia estro subskribos ĝin tuj.: If the report is ready after one hour, our boss will sign it immediately.
• Mi metas la pluvombrelon apud la pordo, ĉar ĝi estas malseka.: I put the umbrella next to the door, because it is wet.
• Se la trinkaĵo estas tro dolĉa, mi trinkas akvon anstataŭ ĝi.: If the drink is too sweet, I drink water instead of it.
• Ŝi petas, ke mi helpu ŝin levi la skatolon, ĉar ĝi estas tro peza por unu homo.: She asks that I help her lift the box, because it is too heavy for one person.
• La kato tuj kuŝas sur la tapiŝo, ĉar ĝi estas pli mola ol la malnova seĝo.: The cat immediately lies on the carpet, because it is softer than the old chair.
• Se vi lasos la planton sen akvo, ĝi baldaŭ ne plu estos bela.: If you leave the plant without water, it will soon no longer be beautiful.
• Ĉi tiu vazo estas malpli peza ol tiu, sed ĝi pli bele montras la florojn.: This vase is less heavy than that one, but it shows the flowers more beautifully.
• Ne tiru tiun tirkeston tro forte, ĉar ĝi povas rompiĝi.: Do not pull that drawer too hard, because it can break.
• Meze de la placo staras arbo, kaj infanoj kuras ĉirkaŭ ĝi.: In the middle of the square stands a tree, and children run around it.
• Se vi ne trovas la ŝlosilon ĉi tie, ĝi eble estas ie en via sako.: If you do not find the key here, it may be somewhere in your bag.
• Mi serĉas mian pasporton ĉie, sed trovas ĝin nenie.: I look for my passport everywhere, but find it nowhere.
• Mi rifuzus tiun trinkaĵon, eĉ se ĉiuj aliaj akceptus ĝin, ĉar la prezo estas tro granda por mi.: I would refuse that drink, even if everyone else accepted it, because the price is too high for me.
• Mi ne volas uzi tiun tranĉilon, ĉar ĝi estas tro akra.: I do not want to use that knife, because it is too sharp.
• La boato, kiun ni volas rezervi, estas pli malgranda ol la ŝipo, sed ĝi estas bona por nia familio.: The boat that we want to reserve is smaller than the ship, but it is good for our family.
• Mi ŝatas vian voĉon, ĉar ĝi estas trankvila.: I like your voice, because it is calm.
• Mi ŝatas la klarecon de via raporto, ĉar ĝi montras ĉiun paŝon.: I like the clarity of your report, because it shows every step.
• Mia tablo denove fariĝis senorda, ĉar mi lasis sur ĝi librojn, biletojn kaj la pasporton.: My table became messy again, because I left books, tickets, and the passport on it.
• Mia fratino portas varman koltukon, ĉar sen ĝi ŝia gorĝo fariĝas malvarma.: My sister wears a warm scarf, because without it her throat becomes cold.
• Dum la ŝtormo ni vidis fulmon, kaj post ĝi ni aŭdis laŭtan tondron.: During the storm we saw lightning, and after it we heard loud thunder.
• La unua ĉapitro estis tiel klara, ke eĉ laca leganto povus kompreni ĝin sen vortaro.: The first chapter was so clear that even a tired reader could understand it without a dictionary.
