Pourriez is the conditional form of the verb pouvoir (can/to be able to), meaning "could". Just like in English, using "Could you...?" instead of "Can you...?" (Vous pouvez... ?) makes the request sound softer, more polite, and less demanding.

Why is lire not conjugated?

When you have two verbs back-to-back in French, only the first one is conjugated. Since the first verb (pourriez) is already conjugated, the second verb, lire (to read), stays in its dictionary form (the infinitive).

Why is it ce document instead of cet document or cette document?

The word document is masculine, so we use the masculine word for "this": ce. You would only use cet if the masculine noun started with a vowel or a silent 'h' (like cet homme). Cette is strictly for feminine nouns.

Why does officiel come after document?

In French, most adjectives go after the noun they describe. Only a specific group of short, common adjectives (describing Beauty, Age, Goodness, or Size—often taught as the BANGS rule) go before the noun. Officiel doesn't fit into that short group, so it follows the normal rule.
