Why does travaille end in "-e"? Doesn't the "he" form need an "-s" like in English?
In French, regular verbs that end in -er (like travailler, to work) have their own set of endings. For the "he" (il), "she" (elle), and "we/one" (on) forms, you drop the -er and just add an -e. So, il travaille is perfectly correct without an "-s"!
