Questions & Answers about پرندهشناس معروف، پرندهی کمیاب و زیبایی را در جنگل پیدا کرد.
Why is there no Ezafe between kamyāb and zibā?
When multiple adjectives describe the same noun, you don't need to chain them all with Ezafes. Instead, you put the Ezafe on the head noun (پرندهی) and link the adjectives with و (va). This groups the modifiers into a single descriptive block.
The English translation says a rare and beautiful bird, but the noun پرنده (parandeh) doesn't have the indefinite suffix -i. Where did it go?
In Farsi, when a noun is followed by adjectives, the indefinite -i suffix moves to the very end of the adjective chain. Here, it attaches to the final adjective زیبا (zibā), becoming زیبایی (zibā-yi).
Why does the object marker را (rā) come after the adjectives instead of right after the noun?
The marker را (rā) must always follow the entire noun phrase it belongs to. Since the words پرندهی کمیاب و زیبایی act as one complete grammatical block, را is placed at the very end of that block.
How does the word پرندهشناس (parandeh-shenās) function to mean ornithologist?
It is a compound noun made of پرنده (parandeh, bird) and شناس (shenās). The word شناس is the present stem of شناختن (to know or recognize) and acts like the English suffix -ologist to denote a specialist.
