Coordinating Multiple Adjectives
When describing a noun with multiple adjectives, it is often more natural and stylistically elegant to connect parallel modifiers using و (and) instead of a chain of Ezafes.
When you link two adjectives with و:
- Attach the Ezafe to the head noun.
- Do not attach an Ezafe to the first adjective; simply follow it with و.
[Noun] + Ezafe + [Adjective 1] + و + [Adjective 2]
For example, in پرندهی کمیاب و زیبا (a rare and beautiful bird), the Ezafe links the noun to the first adjective, but there is no Ezafe attached to کمیاب.

Describing Features
You can apply this parallel structure to specific features, such as a bird's tail (دم), beak (منقار), or crest (کاکل). Observe how the head noun always takes the Ezafe, but the first adjective stands bare before و:
