Questions & Answers about آیا شما از اینکه مدیر جلسه را لغو کرد بیخبر هستید؟
Why do we use az inke here instead of just ke for "that"?
The adjective bikhabar (unaware) pairs with the preposition az (from/of). To link a preposition to a full clause, Farsi uses in ke (the fact that). It literally means "unaware of this, that the manager canceled the meeting".
Why is laghv kard (canceled) in the simple past indicative instead of the subjunctive?
Because the clause states a concrete fact that already happened. We only use the subjunctive after in ke for desires, doubts, or possibilities. Since the meeting was actually canceled, the indicative is required here.
How does the phrase bikhabar hastid work?
bikhabar is an adjective made from bi- (without) and khabar (news/information). Paired with hastid (you are), it literally means "you are without news", which translates perfectly to "you are unaware".
Why do we need the word ra after jalase?
The word ra is the specific direct object marker. Because the manager canceled "the meeting" (a specific, known meeting) rather than just "a meeting", we must mark it with ra.
