Questions & Answers about آیا خالکوبی محو میشود، حتی اگر پوست را بشویم؟
Why is the verb beshuyam in the present subjunctive instead of the normal present tense?
The phrase hattâ agar (even if) sets up a hypothetical condition. When talking about a possible condition in the present or future, Persian requires the present subjunctive after agar (if) or hattâ agar (even if).
The verb beshuyam (I wash) looks very different from its infinitive. What is its present stem?
It comes from the infinitive shostan (to wash). Its present stem is highly irregular: shuy. To make the present subjunctive for "I wash", you combine the prefix be-, the stem shuy, and the personal ending -am, resulting in beshuyam.
How is the verb mahv mishavad (fades) constructed?
It is a compound verb made from the word mahv (faded or erased) and the helper verb shodan (to become). Here it is in the present tense for "it" (mishavad), so it literally translates to "it becomes faded".
Why do we need the word râ after pust (skin)?
râ is the definite direct object marker. Because the speaker is talking about washing a specific patch of skin (where the tattoo is), pust is a definite object and requires râ to show it is directly receiving the action of the washing.
