Questions & Answers about We zullen onderzoeken in hoeverre deze databundel voordelig is.
Why is the verb is placed at the very end of the sentence?
The phrase in hoeverre introduces an indirect question, which acts as a subordinate clause. In Dutch subordinate clauses, the conjugated verb (in this case, is) is always pushed to the very end of the clause.
Does voordelig mean the exact same thing as goedkoop?
Not exactly. While goedkoop means cheap, voordelig translates better to advantageous, economical, or budget-friendly. It implies you are getting a good deal or good value for your money, rather than just paying a low price.
Why are the verbs zullen and onderzoeken right next to each other here?
In a main clause, the conjugated verb (zullen) takes the second position, while the infinitive (onderzoeken) gets sent to the end of that clause. Because there are no objects or extra details in the first part of this sentence, the end is right next to the second position, putting the verbs together.
Is databundel the standard way to say data plan in Dutch?
Yes, databundel literally means data bundle and is the standard term used by Dutch telecom providers to describe the mobile data portion of a phone contract.
