Questions & Answers about Estoy contento con mi trabajo.
We are learning about using the subjunctive for emotions. Why isn't there any subjunctive in this sentence?
The subjunctive is only used when you express an emotion about a different subject's action, usually connected by que. For example, 'I am happy that you work here' would use the subjunctive: Estoy contento de que trabajes aquí. Since this sentence just describes your own feeling about a noun (mi trabajo) and there is no second subject, you do not need the subjunctive.
Why do we use Estoy instead of Soy here?
If a woman is speaking, does contento need to change?
Could I use feliz instead of contento?
