How do you form the adverb atentamente?
You start with the adjective atento (attentive). First, change it to its feminine form, atenta. Then, just add the ending -mente. This works just like adding "-ly" in English to make "attentively".
In English we say "listen to". Is the a in al the word for "to"?
No, the verb escuchar already means "to listen to" all by itself. The a in al (which is a combination of a + el) is the "personal a". In Spanish, you must put an a before a direct object if it is a specific person, like el profesor.
Why is there no word for "we" before escuchamos?
