How does também não translate to "neither does he"?
In English, we use "neither" or "not either" to agree with a negative statement. In Portuguese, you simply use também (also/too) plus não (not). So ele também não literally means "he also not".
Why do we need the word de in gosto de peixe?
In Portuguese, the verb gostar (to like) must always be followed by the preposition de (of) before the thing you like. You are literally saying "I do not like of fish".
Why isn't there an article before peixe, like do peixe?
