Questions & Answers about Quem demonstrar empatia e consideração para com os outros, terá sucesso.
Why use para com here instead of just para?
Is demonstrar here in the infinitive?
It looks exactly like the infinitive, but it is actually the future subjunctive. We use the future subjunctive after words like quem (whoever) when referring to a hypothetical future situation or an unknown person. Here, it means "Whoever might show" or "Whoever shows (in the future)".
Why do we need the article os before outros?
In Portuguese, when referring generally to "others" or "other people" as a whole collective group, you need the definite article os. Saying para com outros without the article sounds incomplete to a native speaker, coming across more like "towards some others" rather than society in general.
Why is there a comma separating the subject from the verb terá?
The comma separates the entire subject clause (Quem demonstrar empatia e consideração para com os outros) from the main verb (terá). While English strictly forbids separating a subject and verb with a comma, in Portuguese it is acceptable and very common when the subject is a full clause introduced by quem, often just to mark a natural speaking pause.
