Questions & Answers about Niech ja wyjaśnię tę nieścisłość bezpośrednio z klientem.
I thought niech was only used for the third person (like 'niech on to zrobi'). Can we use it with ja?
Yes! While niech is most famously used for third-person commands ('let him/her do it'), you can also use it with the first person singular (niech ja...) to mean 'let me...'. It is often used when you are volunteering or insisting that you should be the one to handle a task.
Why use niech ja wyjaśnię instead of just wyjaśnię (I will clarify) or pozwól mi wyjaśnić (allow me to clarify)?
Using just wyjaśnię is a simple statement of the future: 'I will clarify.' Pozwól mi wyjaśnić is a direct request to a specific person ('allow/permit me to clarify'). Niech ja wyjaśnię sits comfortably in the middle. It acts as a first-person imperative that translates to 'Let me clarify.' It sounds like you are actively stepping up to take charge of the situation, without necessarily asking for someone's formal permission.
Why is it tę nieścisłość and not tą nieścisłość?
Strictly speaking, tę is the correct accusative form of the feminine pronoun ta, which is required here because it is the direct object. You will hear many native speakers say tą in casual everyday speech, but tę is the grammatically correct form you should use in formal writing and careful speech.
I see tę before nieścisłość, meaning it is feminine. Why doesn't the noun end in in the accusative case?
