If you want to go, you must step through one street. If you can't choose one, you won't be going anywhere.
Usages of iku
店 に 行きます。mise ni ikimasu.
I am going to the shop.
いつ 米国 へ 行きました か？itu beikoku he ikimasita ka?
When did you go to the United States?
中国 へ よく 行きます。tyuugoku he yoku ikimasu.
I often go to China.
大学 に 行きました。daigaku ni ikimasita.
I went to the university.

(I) can't come. (My) foot still hurts.
Remember that whereas in English we use the word come when joining a group of people somewhere, in Japanese we use the verb 行く here, as the speaker is moving away from his usual location.
今夜 レストラン に 行きましょう か。 今日 料理しない つもり です。konya resutoran ni ikimasyou ka. kyou ryourisinai tumori desu.
Shall we go to a restaurant tonight? I intend not to cook today.
