Questions & Answers about Ci alleiamo dopo il tradimento.
Why do we need the pronoun ci here?
Ci makes the verb reciprocal here. The base verb alleare means "to unite" or "to combine" (usually things or other people). When people or groups form a pact with one another, Italian uses the reflexive form allearsi (to ally oneself / to form an alliance). Therefore, ci alleiamo literally means "we ally ourselves."
Since the stem of allearsi ends in an "e", why is the noi conjugation alleiamo and not alliamo?
I often see dopo di used for "after". Why is there no di before il tradimento?
How is the noun tradimento formed?
