Usages of لا

• أحيانا لا يوجد إنترنت في المكتب، وهذه مشكلة.: Sometimes there is no internet in the office, and this is a problem.
• في الصباح آخذ الدواء أيضا، ولا أذهب إلى العمل لأنني متعب.: In the morning I also take the medicine, and I don’t go to work because I am tired.
• هذا المتجر رخيص، لكنني لا أذهب إليه كل يوم.: This shop is cheap, but I don’t go to it every day.
• لا يوجد حاسوب في هذه الغرفة الآن، وهذه مشكلة.: There is no computer in this room now, and this is a problem.
• لماذا تنامين على الكرسي ولا تنامين على السرير؟: Why do you sleep on the chair and not on the bed?
• أمي تحب الفاكهة، لكنها لا تريد تفاحا الآن.: My mother likes fruit, but she does not want apples now.
• أنا لا أستطيع أن أمشي اليوم، لكن صديقتي تمشي إلى الحديقة في المساء.: I cannot walk today, but my friend walks to the park in the evening.
• أريد أن أضع هذه الصورة قرب الحاسوب، لا قرب الباب.: I want to put this picture near the computer, not near the door.
• إذا كان الطعام في الثلاجة قديما، فلا آكله.: If the food in the refrigerator is old, I do not eat it.
• صحة صديقتي أفضل اليوم، لكنها لا تذهب إلى العمل.: My friend's health is better today, but she does not go to work.
• صديقتي لا تذهب إلى الجامعة اليوم لانها مريضة.: My friend is not going to the university today because she is sick.
• المتجر الذي في هذا الشارع مغلق اليوم، لذلك لا أشتري القميص.: The shop on this street is closed today, so I am not buying the shirt.
• في الصباح أشرب الحليب في كوب كبير، ولا أضع فيه سكر.: In the morning I drink milk in a big cup, and I do not put sugar in it.
• عندما لا أستعمل المصعد، أصعد الدرج إلى الطابق الثالث.: When I do not use the elevator, I go up the stairs to the third floor.
• صديقتي تنزل الدرج في الصباح لأنها لا تحب المصعد.: My friend goes down the stairs in the morning because she does not like the elevator.
• اليوم أختار حذاء جديدا للرحلة، ولا أختار القميص الأحمر.: Today I choose new shoes for the trip, and I do not choose the red shirt.
• أضع الهاتف فوق الطاولة، ولا أضعه تحت الكتاب.: I put the phone on top of the table, and I do not put it under the book.
