Questions & Answers about Si vous trouvez ce signe, vous attirerez la chance.
Why is trouvez in the present tense if the sentence is about the future?
In French, just like in English ("If you find"), the condition part of the sentence starting with si (if) uses the present tense. Only the result part (vous attirerez) uses the future tense. This is how the first conditional is built.
How do we get the future tense form attirerez?
Attirerez is the future tense of the regular verb attirer (to attract). To form the future tense for regular -er verbs, you keep the full infinitive (attirer) and add the future ending for vous, which is -ez.
Why is it ce signe and not cet signe?
Why is it la chance and not de la chance? I thought luck was uncountable.
