Why do we use ton instead of ta or tes for "your" here?
In French, possessive words must match the thing being owned, not the owner. Since oncle (uncle) is a masculine, singular noun, we use the masculine singular form ton. If you were talking about your aunt, you would use the feminine ta (ta tante).
