Questions & Answers about این رویکرد یک تناقض دارد، مگر اینکه عامل عینی را تغییر دهیم.

Why is the verb تغییر دهیم in the subjunctive mood?
It is triggered by the conjunction مگر اینکه (unless). In Farsi, conjunctions that set up a condition or a hypothetical situation require the verb in the following clause to be in the subjunctive mood. Since "changing the objective factor" is a condition that hasn't actually happened, the verb takes this mood.
Why doesn't the subjunctive verb تغییر دهیم have the usual بـ (be-) prefix?
تغییر دادن (to change) is a compound verb, literally meaning "to give change". In many compound verbs, especially in slightly formal or written Farsi, the subjunctive بـ prefix is dropped. While you might hear تغییر بدهیم in casual speech, تغییر دهیم is grammatically correct and very common.
Why do we need the word را after عامل عینی?
را is the specific direct object marker. It tells us that عامل عینی (the objective factor) is the exact, definite thing receiving the action of being changed. Using it makes "objective factor" translate to "the objective factor" rather than just "an objective factor".
How are the words connected in the phrase عامل عینی?
عامل (factor/agent) and عینی (objective/factual) are linked by the ezâfe grammatical rule. An unseen "e" vowel connects them, pronounced as âmel-e eyni. Just like in most Farsi descriptive phrases, the noun comes first and the adjective follows.
