Questions & Answers about بیا هم خدمات و هم محصولات را گسترش دهیم.
Why do we use the singular biyâ when the final verb dahim is in the we form?
When saying let us do something, Farsi uses the imperative form of the verb to come. Because you are suggesting this to one person, you use the singular biyâ. The main verb is in the we form dahim because the action includes both you and the speaker. If addressing multiple people, you would use biyâyid.
I thought the present subjunctive needed a be- prefix. Why is it gostaresh dahim instead of gostaresh bedehim?
The verb to expand is a compound verb made of gostaresh and dâdan. In compound verbs, the be- prefix for the subjunctive is frequently dropped, especially in slightly formal or written contexts. Both are correct, but dropping it is very common here.
How does the ham ... va ham ... structure translate here?
This structure means both X and Y. You place ham before the first noun khadamât and va ham before the second noun mahsoulât. It is a great way to emphasize that both items are equally included in the proposal.
The words khadamât and mahsoulât do not use the normal -hâ plural. What kind of plurals are these?
These use the Arabic plural suffix -ât. Because Farsi borrowed the singular words khedmat for service and mahsoul for product from Arabic, it often uses their Arabic plural forms too, especially in business or formal Farsi.
Why does the direct object marker râ only appear after the second noun?
When a direct object consists of multiple items joined together in a list, you only need to place râ at the very end of the entire group. You do not need to attach it to every single noun in the phrase.
