Where do we place the adverb حتی (even) in a Farsi sentence?
Like many adverbs of degree, حتی usually comes right before the part of the sentence it emphasizes. Here, placing it before آب highlights that he doesn't drink even water.
How is the verb نمیخورد (nemikhorad) made negative?
To make a present tense verb negative, you add the prefix نـ (ne) right before the می (mi) prefix. So the positive verb میخورد (he drinks) becomes نمیخورد (he does not drink).
Why is there no را (ra) after the word آب (water) if it is the direct object?
The object marker را is only used when the object is specific, like "the water" or "that water". Because the sentence is about water in general (he doesn't drink any water), we just leave the noun آب by itself.
