Questions & Answers about De opbouw van het hoofdstuk is erg logisch.
Why use opbouw here instead of a word like structuur?
Both translate to "structure", but opbouw (literally "build-up") specifically refers to how something is constructed or sequenced step-by-step. This makes it the perfect word for describing the flow of a chapter, a presentation, or an argument, whereas structuur can refer to any static framework.
If I wanted to use a lesson word like kortom (in short) to introduce this sentence, would it change the word order?
Generally, no. Kortom usually sits outside the main clause at "position zero" and is followed by a comma. You would simply say: Kortom, de opbouw van het hoofdstuk is erg logisch. It summarizes what was just said without causing the verb inversion you might expect from other adverbs.
Is there a difference between using erg logisch and zeer logisch here?
They both mean "very logical" and are perfectly fine to use. Zeer is slightly more formal and frequently used in written Dutch, which pairs nicely with academic terms like hoofdstuk. Erg is standard in both speech and writing, while heel would be the most casual, conversational option.
Why does hoofdstuk use the article het?
