Why are the verbs gaan and bespreken separated?
In Dutch, when you use an auxiliary (helping) verb like gaan to form the future tense, the conjugated verb (gaan) takes the normal verb position near the start, but the main action verb in its full dictionary form (bespreken) gets pushed all the way to the end of the sentence.
Why does the sentence say gaan we instead of we gaan?
Because this is a question that starts with a question word (waarom). In Dutch, this causes inversion: the conjugated verb (gaan) must come directly after the question word, and the subject (we) immediately follows it.
Why is it dit idee and not deze idee?
The word for idea is a het-word (het idee). To say "this" with a singular het-word, you must use dit. The word deze is only used for de-words and plurals.
Why does niet go near the end of the sentence?
In sentences with a second verb pushed to the very end (like the infinitive bespreken), the negative word niet usually goes right before that final verb. It tells us that the specific action (discussing) is what is not going to going to happen.
