Why use we here instead of wij?
Both mean "we", but we is the unstressed, everyday version. You use wij when you want to put special emphasis on who is doing the action (for example, if you want to stress "We are home, but they are not"). For a standard statement, we is the most natural choice.
Is zijn the only plural form of the verb "to be"?
