This is a special rule for het words! Museum is a het word (het museum). When you put an adjective before a singular het word and use een (a/an), the adjective does not get an extra -e at the end.

Why do we use onze for "our" instead of ons?

The Dutch word for "our" changes depending on the noun. Stad (city) is a de word, so it gets onze. If we wanted to say "our museum", we would use ons because museum is a het word (ons museum).

Is heeft an irregular verb?

Yes. Heeft means "has" and comes from the verb hebben (to have). While regular Dutch verbs usually just add a -t to the stem for words like "he", "she", or "it" (like our city), hebben drops the letter b to become heeft instead of "hebt".

How do you pronounce the -lijk ending in belangrijk?

The Dutch suffix -lijk is pronounced like "luhk". Even though it contains an ij, it doesn't make the usual "eye" sound. It sounds just like a soft English "luck".
