Questions & Answers about Mantıken bu vaziyeti hiç kimseye anlatmayacağız.
Where does the suffix "-en" in mantıken come from?
What is the difference between vaziyet and durum?
Both mean "situation" or "condition" and are essentially interchangeable in this sentence. Vaziyet is an older loanword from Arabic, while durum is a Turkic word and is much more common in modern everyday Turkish.
Why does vaziyeti have the -i ending?
It is the specific accusative case suffix. Because the direct object of the verb is pointed out specifically with the demonstrative adjective bu (this), it requires the accusative ending: bu vaziyet-i.
Why is the verb anlatmayacağız negative when the English translation says "to anyone"?
Turkish uses a double negative structure. The phrase hiç kimseye means "to nobody" or "not to anybody," and it must always be paired with a negative verb. Since anlatmak (to explain/tell) takes the dative case for the person being told, hiç kimse gets the dative ending -ye.
