How exactly does mesajlaşmaya gelince translate to 'as for messaging'?

The structure -(y)a/e gelince literally translates to 'when it comes to' and is used as a topic-shifting marker meaning 'as for' or 'regarding'. Here, the verbal noun mesajlaşma (messaging) takes the dative case -ya, followed by gelince.

The English translation says 'we use it every day', but I don't see a word for 'it' in the Turkish sentence. Why is it omitted?

In Turkish, it is very common to drop object pronouns like onu (it) when the context makes it obvious. Since we just established 'messaging' as the topic with the first phrase, kullanıyoruz (we use) naturally implies we are using it without needing the explicit pronoun.

Both mesajlaşma and görüşme look like they have the negative -ma/me suffix. What are they doing here?

These are not negative verbs! The -ma/me suffix is also used to create verbal nouns, similar to '-ing' words in English. Mesajlaşmak means 'to exchange messages', so mesajlaşma is the noun 'messaging'. Similarly, görüşmek (to converse/meet) becomes görüşme (a meeting or call).

Why does görüşmeyi have the accusative case -(y)i at the end?
