Questions & Answers about Acaba bu dalgalanmanın blokzincir ile ilgili olduğu iddiası doğru mu?
Why do we use olduğu iddiası instead of just using the word iddia on its own?
This is how Turkish forms "the claim that..." statements. To connect a full idea (that the fluctuation is related) to an abstract noun like iddia (claim), we turn the idea into a clause using -dIk (here, olduğu). We then add the possessive suffix -(s)ı to the abstract noun. Literally, it builds the structure: "its being-related claim".
Why does dalgalanma take the genitive suffix -nın here?
Bu dalgalanmanın is the subject of the embedded clause ("that the fluctuation is related"). In Turkish nominalized clauses built with -dIk or -AcAk, the subject of that inner clause must take the genitive case. It structurally functions like "this fluctuation's being related".
Why do we need the verb olmak (in the form olduğu) here?
The core phrase is blokzincir ile ilgili (related to blockchain). Because ilgili is an adjective and not a verb, it can't take the -dIk clause-forming suffix directly. We have to use the helper verb olmak (to be) to hold the suffix, turning "is related" into "the fact that it is related" (ilgili olduğu).
Does acaba have to go at the beginning of the sentence?
