Questions & Answers about Büyük bir sorun yok.
Why is bir in the middle? Shouldn't it be bir büyük sorun?
Why do we use yok here instead of değil?
Yok means "there is not" or "does not exist," which fits because we are saying a problem doesn't exist. Değil just means "is not." If you wanted to use değil, you would be saying what something is not, like Sorun büyük değil (The problem is not big).
Does yok mean "no" or "there is not"?
It means both! As a direct answer to a question, yok can mean "no" (similar to hayır). But at the end of a sentence like this, it is the opposite of var (there is), so it means "there is not".
